London Fashion Week Hedonism Lineup

The British Fashion Council has announced the four designers to showcase their talents in millinery (or women's hats) during the Spring/Summer 2016 London Fashion Week. Last year's Headonism recipients Emma Yeo and Keely Hunter will be joined by designers Sophie Beale and Harvy Santos.

"I am delighted that Harvy Santos and Sophie Beale are joining Headonism,"Stephen Jones, BFC Headonism curator, told British Vogue. "They are both wonderful milliners, who have a very distinct view on what millinery should be and the talent with which to express it. Our Headonism stalwarts Emma Yeo and Keely Hunter are here creating unusual and avant-garde millinery and are London's finest."

Headonism — which launched back in 2009 by Mayor of London, Boris Johnson for the BFC's 25 year celebrations — awards recipients mentoring from Jones, a renowned milliner himself, and opportunities to showcase their designs during one LFW installation. The program has previously supported women's hat designers including Lizzie McQuade, Noel Stewart, Piers Atkinson and William Chambers, according to the BFC's website.

British Vogue also reported on Tuesday that MM6 Maison Margiela, which has previously shown in New York, will present its collection in London on Sept. 20. According to the U.K.-based publication, the location has yet to be announced.

Last month, the BFC announced the official LFW schedule for the upcoming spring/summer 2016 event, which runs from Sept. 18 through 23.

The official location of the five-day LFW event has changed for the upcoming season. Its former location — the BFC's Somerset House headquarters — has been moved to Brewer Street car park in the city's Soho neighborhood. Only 16 of the 77 scheduled brands have chosen to show at the car park.
