Fringe, fur, bright colors and lots of Swarovski crystals.
Those are some of the upcoming fall fashion trends Meg McGuffiin, Miss Alabama 2015, and Miss Alabama contestants showed off on a runway during the annual Miss Alabama Top 12 Fashion Show and Luncheon at the Vestavia Country Club Saturday.
Top 12 Miss Alabama 2015 contestants, joined by Kaitlynn Campbell, Miss Alabama's Outstanding Teen, modeled fashion forward looks from longtime time Miss Alabama sponsors Gus Mayer, The Clothes Tree by Deborah andAnn Northington's North Oaks Pageantwear. The annual fashion show serves as a Miss America send-off for the current Miss Alabama and gives supporters a sneak peek of her wardrobe.
Remember that Alabama dress? The show also included a first look at the bold outfit that will represent Alabama on the Atlantic City Boardwalk during the annual Miss America Show Us Your Shoes Parade.
We'll give you a sneak peak at this year's outfit (hint: if you like orange, you'll like this one) and other pieces in McGuffin's Miss America wardrobe in an upcoming preview.
"I've worked really hard and I'm really excited to show all of you and everyone at Miss America who Meg McGuffin is and what Alabama has to bring to the table," she told the audience at the show.
McGuffin heads to Atlantic City at the end of the week for the 2016 Miss America Competition. The finale of the competition airs live from Atlantic City's Boardwalk Hall Sunday, September 13, 2015 on ABC. Upon her arrival, McGuffin and 51 other contestants will continue training, participate in media appearances, rehearsals and preliminary competition leading up to the crowning.
One of the Miss America Top 15 will be America's Choice, selected from votes from the ongoing Miss America social media campaign. To secure a spot for McGuffin in the finale, update your Twitter or Facebook statuses with both 'Alabama' and '#MissAmericaVote' once a day through September 10.
