And it looks like Ellie Goulding and Elton John have formed a strong bond as Ellie landed an invite to his prestigious annual summer ball, which aims to raise money for Elton's AIDS Foundation, in Windsor on Thursday.
The 27-year-old worked a daring look, popular amongst the likes of Kim Kardashian and Rihanna, in a sheer black dress that showcased her toned legs. She teamed it with a black bodysuit and strappy heels.

Natural make-up meant the singer’s delicate features shone while she opted for white nail polish and chunky rings.
Taking to Instagram the blonde beauty uploaded a close-up shot of her jewellery and dress alongside the caption: ‘Fendi Fendi Fendi.’
Elton gave his tick of approval of Ellie’s cover in 2010 when he performed Your Song at a gig in London saying: ‘Ellie did a brilliant job.’
Meanwhile musicians Gary Barlow, Pixie Lott, Chrissie Hynde, and James Blunt were just some of the names who attended the star-studded bash at David Furnish and Elton John’s palatial home.
Close pal Elizabeth Hurley, 49, was one of the first guests to arrive and looked sensational in a tiny cream strappy dress which she wore with a fur stole and gold strappy sandals.
While Elton wore a fairly conservative ensemble in a simple navy suit, he did stick to form and add some showbiz sparkle in the form of a pair of silver glittery shoes.
His partner David stood out in a bright pink blazer which he teamed with a black shirt and trousers at the event which is being sponsored by Chopard jewellery and Grey Goose vodka.
Their sons, Zachary, 3, and 20-month-old Elijah, wore contrasting shirts and trousers and the cute duo, who are starting to look more and more alike, wore identical Burberry canvas shoes.
Guests such as James Blunt and comedian Jimmy Carr arrived at the sprawling estate by rickshaws which were decorated with Chopard adverts.
Elton treated his guests to a performance of his greatest hits as he took to the piano at one point in the evening.
The Crocodile Rock hitmaker previously said he will cut back on his touring commitments once Zachary joins school because he wants his children to have as normal an upbringing as possible.
He said in a previous interview: 'My children come with me everywhere because they’re very portable.
